Known as one of New Zealand’s classic hikes, this 29 km walk is a unique hike through private land that follows farmland and forest, over an extinct volcano, along coasts and cliffs, through reserves and into your hosts backyards. It is 29 km of ever changing vistas, views and variety around the stunning Banks Peninsula. At the end of the track we stay the night in the quaint historic French and British settlement of Akaroa before going to Little River, meeting our bicycles there and cycling the Little River Trail for approximately 46km into Prebbleton where we catch a shuttle van to the airport.
