Experience the beautiful Otago region with its pristine lakes and spectacular mountains as we cycle along some of the most stunning cycle local trails in New Zealand. We’ll be based in the historic “boutique” town of Arrowtown and explore the trails in and around the area. There’ll be wining and dining in the Gibbston Valley, sailing on the Spirit of Queenstown out to Mt Nicholas and cycling the station to station trail, along with other trails around the Queenstown area. Known as one of New Zealand’s classic hikes, this 29 km walk is a unique hike through private land that follows farmland and forest, over an extinct volcano, along coasts and cliffs, through reserves and into your hosts backyards. It is 29 km of ever changing vistas, views and variety around the stunning Banks Peninsula. We stay in accommodation that reflects the personality of each night’s hosts, offering rustic comfort, history, warmth and character. Our packs are transported for us, we just need a day pack. There are a maximum of 16 on the track so it will never be crowded!

Join us as we kayak one of New Zealand’s most stunning coastlines from Omana Regional Park near Maraetai to Waharau Regional Park in the foothills of the Hunua Ranges on the way to the Thames Estuary. We’ll spend 2 nights camping at purpose-built campgrounds along the way. Our kayaking adventure in double ocean-kayaks has all the equipment and accessories we need including life jackets, spray skirts, thermal tops, jackets, boat shoes and camping gear. Te Ara Moana is one of many routes traditionally paddled by Mãori to travel between settlements, carry goods for trade and gathering food.
