The Rocky Mountains of Idaho are perfectly suited to Canyon Calling’s multi-activity vacations. Idaho is known as the Gem State because of the wealth of natural resources extracted over the years. However we think that the real gems are the rivers and mountains. Our white-water rafting trip on the Payette River is one of the best rafting trips in the US.
New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, is conveniently adjacent to our favorite part of Colorado – the San Juan Mountains. This is a perfect playground for Canyon Calling adventurers who love the multi-activity format of our trips.
Immerse yourself in the unusual beauty of Arizona in this adventure trip for women. Canyons are calling you to Arizona on this premier trip which launched Canyon Calling Adventures for Women. Who can pick a highlight when each day is a new and wonderful surprise?
Utah is home to the famous “Big 5” National Parks and we’ll be adventuring in all of them! Names you’ve heard of but haven’t had an opportunity to yet explore or were so enthralled you feel the pull to return. With Canyon Calling you will hike, raft in the Colorado River, horse-ride in Bryce Canyon, and enjoy plenty of swimming at all our favorite places.
Sometimes you just want to fit as much hiking into four days as you can. Adventures in Good Company have designed this trip to hike some of the best trails in the two parks in a short period- there won't be significant amounts of downtime on this trip
The San Juan Islands, located off of Washington State, are known as one of the most spectacular island archipelagos in the country. Craggy coasts, deep blue-green waters with abundant sea-life, and pastoral landscapes abound. Known as one of the best sea kayaking places in America, it also offers interesting small towns, a rich human history, diverse marine and bird wildlife, scenic hiking, and a unique opportunity to learn how to sail a traditional wooden schooner. We'll even get an opportunity to zip line.
If you long to hike through forests and meadows, along sparkling creeks and cascading waterfalls, and take the time to capture this splendour in a hiking/sketching journal, this hike is for you. During these five days we combine guided mountain hiking through the Colorado Rockies, with expert art instruction and sketching materials to capture it all! Join Adventures in Good Company on this trip.
On this trip we offer you the best of all worlds: hiking, rafting, and a comfortable bed every night. Traveling through the Wild and Scenic section of the Rogue River, a riverside trail allows us to swap between hiking and rafting if we choose, or to simply raft or hike the entire time. Our riverside lodges provide hot showers and a comfortable bed every night with Adventures in Good Company.
There are many ways to hike the Appalachian Trail: day hikes, slackpacking, backpacking, and hut to hut. On this trip, however, Adventures in Good Company do it in style! We'll go lodge to lodge, staying in the lovely and very different lodges that are conveniently spaced along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, while our luggage is transported by van. This part of the AT is well-graded and well-maintained, with climbs rarely exceeding 500 or 1,000 feet, so it is excellent for novice hikers and anyone who enjoys vistas and abundant wildlife.
The Appalachian Trail, while often rugged and remote, is designed to accommodate both people who want to hike the entire trail and those who choose to section hike it, either by backpacking or by slackpacking. This trip covers the northernmost section of Virginia, covering 60 miles between Harpers Ferry, where the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) headquarters is located, and Chester Gap just outside of Front Royal.
